These days when you are not in the mood for chips and dip or wanna pamper your guests, this recipe makes a perfect appetizer for entertaining.

Personally I am a cheese lover, and I bet your friends are so, so as far as I can tell this is one of the effortless appetizers you’ll ever done. It practically cooks itself! and tastes AH-mazing!.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 piece of good quality Provolone Cheese

  • 1 or 2 tomatoes chopped. Also you may use Cherry tomatoes or canned tomatoes.

  • Olive oil

  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. Balsamic Vinegar

  • oregano

  • Salt & pepper to taste.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Cut 1 inch slices of the provolone cheese and place it into a baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil . You may put together 1 or to cheese slices, one above the other. Place in oven at 200°C for 15 to 20 minutes.

  2. Mix your chopped tomatoes with the balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper. Top the provolone cheese with this mix once it’s out of the oven.

  3. Let it cool for about 5 minutes before serving.

  4. Garnish with oregano.

  5. Serve with crackers or toasts.

Tip! This recipe goes perfect with a glass of red wine!
