Ricotta, Fig & Honey Tartine
We officially welcome Fall with this delicious recipe!
This recipe is perfect as a starter, snack or even a healthy breakfast. The good news is that there is no cooking in this recipe and it takes no longer than 5 minutes to put everything together.
Tartine is nothing more than an open face sandwich, so you can't have it easier than this!
You just need two essential things: getting ripe figs and a very good rustic French loaf.
5 ripe figs, sliced
1 cup of Ricotta cheese
1 rustic French loaf
sea salt and pepper to taste
Slice bread into thick pieces. Toast them in the oven or in a pan.
Spread a generous amount ricotta over the toasted bread and layer fig slices. Drizzle with honey. Add salt and pepper to taste.
